Boom! Congratulations to the 99 Explosion who won the High School Division of the Battle of the Bats in Cherokee, NC on 8/1/15! After dropping the 1st game of bracket play to the Carolina Charm, the 99 Explosion ran the table and won 5 consecutive back to back games beating an extremely talented Piedmont Patriots Team from South Carolina 2-0 in the Championship Game and winning the "Stomp Town Shootout" 3-1! For the day, the 99 Explosion went 6-1 and played extremely good defense, receiving great pitching performances from Ariel Holt, Emma Seagrave and Sydney Birchfield and got timely hitting from Tori Ogle, Maddie Sickau, Molly Muncy and a got a bomb from Lauren Acker!
