A special shoutout to the Knoxville Explosion Select (18u) who battled some of the best teams in the nation at the Summer Sun Classic held at the beautiful Disney Wide World of Sports Complex from June 9-11, 2017 in Orlando, Florida! After a tough start against the Colorado Freedom Gold, Florida Wildfire and Florida Gators, the Explosion Select rallied to play it's best softball of the season against the top 3 teams in it's pool finishing with a 2-0 loss to the 2nd Place Santa Fe Inferno, beating the Tampa Florida Select 5-4 and tieing the eventual, undefeated champion New Jersey Intesity 0-0! Outstanding progress ladies, we are very proud of your efforts!
