In the Fall of 2011, the Knoxville Explosion teams formed with a purpose to follow a structured program to develop the players into competitive travel players that conduct themselves in the proper way on and off of the field.  All of the blood, sweat and tears were realized in a big way at Caswell Park, July 9, 2012.  The Knoxville Explosion Fast Pitch Softball Organization finished the SEAA Open State Tournament on Sunday in historic fashion.  All 3 Teams, 14u, 12u and 8u swept the entire SEAA field to claim 3 SEAA Tennessee State Championships!  This has never been done before in the history of Tennessee SEAA State Tournament play.  Even more impressive was the competition that pitted the Explosion teams against the top teams in the state with the likes of the White Lightning, Tennessee Hustle, Dirt Dobbers, Maryville Magic and Murfreesboro Easton Elite.  For the weekend, the Explosion Teams went for a combined record of 13-1 and outscored the competition 108-31!  WOW!

As the Organizational Chief of the Knoxville Explosion and Head Coach of the 14u and 12u Explosion, I am exceedingly proud of our teams.  Not just how our teams competed, but the class that our coaches, parents and players conducted themselves this weekend in the face of fierce competition and blistering heat!  Great job ladies!  We are all very proud of your accomplishments!
