The Explosion 01 team is made up of players representing the Anderson, Blount, Knox, Newport, Sweetwater and Campbell County school systems as well as Grace Christian Academy. These young ladies have won their fair share of trophies and awards on the softball field. Our organization places great emphasis not only on success on the ball field but also in the classroom and in our communities. Report cards and grades are checked throughout the school year to ensure these players are taking care of business in the classroom. It is with great pride that I discovered, not to my surprise, that's once again these players exceeded expectations. Many of these players were honored by their school systems for academic excellence and service awards by their respective school systems. 92 percent of the Explosion 01 team were recognized with such awards ranging from A, A/B Honor Roll, National Junior Beta Club, President's Award for Academic Excellence, Character and Individual scholastic excellence Awards in numerous subjects for going above and beyond in their respective classes. Olivia Ellison was determined the State Middle School Champion in the Daughters of the Revolution essay contest this past school year. Hannah Branum received the Chillhowee Scotty Acuff award based on grades, leadership and character. Other Explosion players representing the various and numerous Awards stated above were Emilee Fowler, Jada Reeves, Amanda Weaver, Caroline Moore, Gracie Webb, Allie Dyke, Darian Long, Kasey Monday, and Makenzie Jones. I'm so proud these young ladies for their hard work on and off the field. Great job girls. You represent us well!
