Congratulations to the '99 Knoxville Explosion Spring Team who won the 14u division of the USFA Queen of the Diamonds tournament held at fountain city park on Saturday 5/3/14!  There were a total of 8 teams that included the Tennessee Storm, Tennessee Sting, RBI Extreme amongst others.  The '99 Explosion went 5-1, going undefeated through bracket play until running into a hot-hitting TN Storm team that bested the '99 Explosion 6-4 in the 1st Championship game.  A playoff inning decided the tournament championship that saw the TN Storm jump out to a 3-0 lead, only to be answered by back to back to back hits by Sydney Dukes, Sydney Birchfield and a game winning triple by Madison Sickau!  Wow, what a game!  Congratulations to the TN Storm and '99 Explosion for a great tournament championship game!  We are very proud of all of your efforts ladies!  We also wanted to thank the TN Storm for being a class act.  Even in the heat of battle, the coaches, players and parents supported their players and did not cuss, threaten or belittle the umpires or opposing coaches!
