Boom! Congratulations to the '99 Explosion who finished runner up in the 14u division of the ASA/USA Alabama Heartland Elite Showcase in Gulf Shores Alabama from 6-5-14 to 6-8-14! The '99 Explosion caught fire and ended up facing an extremely talented West Mobile Express AL team in the finals. After trailing 4-0, the '99 Explosion staged a furious rally to take the lead in the 6th inning 5-4. In the bottom of the inning the express answered with 4 runs and ended up winning the championship 8-6. They are a great team and I am very proud of how we represented not only our great state of Tennessee but Knoxville as well in this prestigious event! Great job Express and '99 Explosion! Congratulations to Maddie Sickau who hit a homerun in the semi-final game against the Port City Pride as well!
