Boom! Congratulations to the Explosion Select who finished as the runner-up in the 18u division of the ASA High School Summer Sizzler Classic in Johnson City! Loaded with high school teams from Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee (11 total), the Select battled back from a second round bracket loss to the Madison NC Patriots to play 4 games back to back (7 hours) with no break to face the Patriots again in the Championship game. The Select faced a very well coa...ched Patriots team and finally ran out of gas against a superior opponent. Great job Patriots and Select, great sportsmanship and play was exhibited throughout the tournament! We are very proud of your efforts!
