Boom! Congratulations to the Explosion Select who finished as the 18u runner-up in the Big Orange Showcase that featured 24 of the top 18u teams in the Southeast! The Select went 6-1 on the tournament losing in the championship game 4-2 to the Tennessee Freedom on the University of Tennessee's Sherri Parker Lee Field. Congratulations to the Freedom, who is an outstanding team allowing a grand total of 3 runs in the entire tournament! As for the Select, Syd Rogers carried the pitching load for this tournament going 5-1 on the weekend. We are so proud of all of our players and with this tournament, we are finished for 2019! Many tears and much love was exhibited in the post game activities, this team will always hold a special place in Head Coach Joe Birchfield and Assistant Coaches Jason Holt and Payton Kneier's Hearts!
