Congratulations to '07 Explosion's own Shelby Gibbons (Northview Academy) for being selected to the District 3-AA All-Freshman Team! Great job Shelby, we are very proud of you! Congratulations to '07 Explosion's own Jeneva Mitchell (Webb High School) who was selected as TSSAA 1A All District and rookie of the year. Attention 2014 Parents! The 2014 Explosion is holding open tryouts for the Summer/Fall 2021 Team! This team will carry 12 players and all positions are open. Open Tryouts are scheduled for June 17 at 6:30 pm at Rocky Hill Park, Field #4. The physical address of the facility 7633 Alki Lane, Knoxville, TN 37919. Boom! Congratulations to the '07 Explosion who finished as the 14u Runnerup in the ISA Coke Classic held at Warner Park in Chattanooga, TN from 5/29/21-5/30/21. The '07 Explosion fought through the losers bracket to make it to the Championship Game where they eventually fell 8-4 to the Knoxville Outlaws. Great job Outlaws and Explosion, we are very proud of your efforts! |

A big shoutout to the 18u Explosion Select for finishing 3rd in their 1st tournament of the season at the USA Memorial Day Classic in Johnson City, TN on 5/30/21! The Select went 3-1 on the day losing out to the SW Virginia Shockers Select 4-3. A total of 10 teams competed in this division of the tournament. A special shoutout to Olivia Mahoney who hit a monster 230 foot homerun to dead center and Tori Coffman for going 2-0 with 20 Ks in the tournament. Great start to the season ladies, we are very proud of you! |

Congratulations Explosion X on your first place finish in A bracket in the Coca Cola Classic in Chattanooga, TN. “The fine 9” finished 6-1 for the weekend, causing the “if” game against a tough Vexus team that knocked us into the losers bracket on Saturday. These girls showed up to play this weekend. So proud of them. Explosion X stayed local this weekend and competed in the USA Queens of the Diamond in Knoxville, TN. After competing in pool play against Concord Stars, Explosion X got placed in the “10u A Division Bracket.” Things started off slow in bracket and the girls just couldn’t get going. They lost their first bracket and fell to the losers bracket. From there, they battled through and landed in the championship game, playing a “what if international” and bringing home some bling. Congratulations Explosion X!! Our Explosion girls traveled to Camp Jordan this weekend to compete in the USSSA Spring Border Wars tournament in East Ridge. These girls started out slow in pool play against Team Tennessee 2010 but showed up to play in bracket with a win against Atlanta Premier 10, a win against Team Tennessee 2010, then a tough loss to a very solid EC Bullets team. Explosion X faced Team Tennessee 2010 a third time, winning again which took them into the Championship game to face EC Bullets again and finally ending the night as runner up. Congratulations to EC Bullets on their win! Overall it was a great day at the ballfield with our girls and we are very proud of you! Special thank you to our guest player, Briley Jernigan, for coming down and playing with us! |

Boom! Congratulations to the 2011 Knoxville Explosion who won the USA 10u A Division of the USA Spring Fling Tournament held at Badgett Park in Knoxville, TN on 4/17/21! The 2011 Explosion were undefeated going into the championship game against the 2028 Bats; but the Bats caught fire and beat the Explosion the first championship game. The Explosion won the playoff "If" inning 3-0 to claim the championship. Great job Bats and Explosion, we are very proud of your efforts! |
