Formerly the 2011 Meigs County Velocity, our newest edition will be Coached by Tim Meadows (Head Coach), Allen Meadows (Assistant Coach) and Cindy Hampton (Assistant Coach). This is the first world series/national championship title of the 2021 Spring Season for the organization! We are so very proud of your efforts ladies!!! Great job! |

We are a non-profit entity registered with the IRS and pride ourselves on utilizing volunteer coaches to keep quality travel fastpitch softball as low as possible! 100% of all funds collected and raised for each of it's member teams reside with the team that raises those funds. Attention 2022-2024 Graduating Players, the Knoxville Explosion is forming a new 18u competitive team, the 2022 Knoxville Explosion. This is a startup team that will carry 12 players and will be coached by our newest Head Coach, Bradley Logan. Coach Logan comes to the Knoxville Explosion from Oklahoma and is a true independent coach without a player on the team. The team will hold it's second tryout this Sunday, July 25th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Eaton Ruritan Park, 4293 Ruritan Road, Lenior City, TN 37771. All positions are open and everyone will be honestly evaluated for their position on this team. The Knoxville Explosion Organization is seeking a new Head Coach for the 2012 Explosion (Rising 9u) for the fall 2021 season. Due to family commitments, our current head coach, Angela Johnson is stepping down. We wish her all of the best in future family endeavors and are very grateful for her 2 years of volunteer service! Candidates (Male or Female) must have softball coaching experience and be able to pass a National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) background check and become a Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) certified double-goal coach. These activities will be paid for by the organization. This is a unpaid, volunteer coaching opportunity to help mold and develop the next generation of fastpitch softball players. Great day of softball Saturday yesterday came home with 2nd place NSA K Town Showdown. These girls battled hard all day playing 7 games 4-2-1 on the day. Great defense, they hit the ball well and pitching was great! Game 1 vs Bats 2028 tied 2-2 Game 2 vs Meigs Courty Velocity won 9-1 Game 3 vs Team TN 2010 lost 7-0 Game 4 vs Concord Stars won 4-2 Game 5 vs Bats 2028 won 5-4 Game 6 vs Crush won 5-1 Game 7 vs Team TN 2010 lost 12-0 |
